South Nation Conservation will once again be co-hosting Free Tree Days with municipal partners in 2023 to promote environmental stewardship in our communities!

Hydrant Flowing Testing

Residents of Cardinal and New Wexford are notified that the Township has contracted Lakeshore Hydrant Services to perform fire hydrant flowing testing on April 17. Water customers may notice fluctuations in pressure and some discoloration. This is a normal result of the flushing process. It is recommended that customers check their water for discoloration prior to use each day and flush the cold water tap for 10 minutes if discoloration is observed as this could cause damage to laundry, etc.

FoodCycler Pilot Program Launch

The Township of Edwardsburgh Cardinal is partnering once again with Cornwall/ Ottawa based company, Food Cycle Science to offer a subsequent program for the on-site food waste diversion solution based on the success of the initial pilot program.

Additional Brush/Leaf Drop Off Availability

Due to the recent extreme weather event in our area last week, the Township will be offering 4 additional dates for free tree/leaf drop off at the Scott Road Transfer site from 7:30 a.m.-3:00p.m. 

• April 19th
• April 20th
• April 26th
• April 27th 

These dates will be in addition to the free brush/leaf drop off at the Scott Rd Transfer site to be held throughout the month of May.

Residents of Leeds and Grenville, Gananoque and Prescott can drop off household hazardous waste items free of charge at designated drop off locations during the specified times.
