Environment Canada is forecasting a significant weather system that is expected to pass through the region beginning Thursday afternoon until Friday morning.
The current forecast estimates total precipitation amounts of up to 35 mm in some areas, with much of the rain occurring Thursday afternoon before tapering off early Friday morning. A risk of freezing rain is also a possibility. Temperatures are forecasted to be above freezing Thursday and Friday contributing to snow and ice melt.
