An awards ceremony recognizing two of the Township's outstanding citizens was held before the Council meeting Monday December 11, 2023 with last year's recipients on hand. Congratulations to Karie Smail, the 2023 Citizen of the Year recipient & Kadynn Morrison, the 2023 Youth Citizen of the Year recipient. Thank you for your dedication, time & generosity. Please know that your volunteerism is recognized, appreciated, valued and cherished. 

When you volunteer, you are making a commitment to share that most precious of resources – your time – to make life better for those who are in need. The fruits of your labors make a tangible impact, of course, but perhaps it is the fact that you are willing to share your time and talent to lend a helping hand and to show kindness and caring that makes the greatest difference in the lives of the individuals who are touched by your generosity.

The Township values how its many volunteers generously give their time, encourage community achievement and act with kindness, which is why it is important to continue recognizing these individuals who help build vibrant communities all year long.
