Fire Department
The Township of Edwardsburgh Cardinal has fire stations located in Spencerville and Cardinal. Both fire stations are staffed with a Deputy Chief, three Captains and a complement of firefighters. The Township also participates in the Leeds & Grenville mutual aid plan and has automatic aid agreements with neighbouring municipalities to ensure that all residents' emergency services and fire protection needs are met.
The Fire Department assists the community by providing services, such as:
- Fire safety inspections and public education
- Fire suppression and emergency response
- Burn permits
