There is a lot for Families to enjoy in the Township of Edwardsburgh Cardinal. Check out kids programming offered at our Public Libraries or from one of our Community Organizations. We also offer seasonal swimming programs and public skating each year at our public pools and arenas. 

Kids inflatable day

TWPEC parks and recreation department in partnership with Tribeck Inflatables, is hosting a Free Inflatable Day event, happening on Saturday, June 8, 2024 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Ingredion Centre located at 4050 Dishaw St., Cardinal. Kids of all ages are invited to bounce, slide, and play on a variety of exciting inflatables. Don't miss out on this fantastic opportunity for family fun and adventure! No registration required!

Kids art class

The Spencerville District Optimist Club, in partnership with our parks and recreation department, are offering three sessions of Thursday evening art classes for kids ages 7 to 11 this fall. Classes are taught by two enthusiastic instructors at the South Edwardsburgh Community Centre (24 Sutton Dr. Johnstown). The cost is $20 per child for four classes, refunds will not be issued. Please note, limited spots available. Registration for our November session of art class is now available.

Classes are from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on the following dates:

• November 28, 2024
• December 5, 2024
• December 12, 2024
• December 19, 2024

Holiday cookie decorating

On Sunday, December 8th, 2024 the Township will host a free cookie decorating afternoon at the South Edwardsburgh Community Centre (24 Sutton Dr. Johnstown) from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. This event is for children of all ages, and registration is required. Registration will open on Monday, November 4, 2024.
