Water Conservation
At the Township of Edwardsburgh Cardinal, we understand that our water supply is important for current and future generations. As a result, we've implemented regulations around water use to help support water conservation efforts. Review the Water Connections and Use Bylaw for full details about how we regulate water use.
Water use regulations
In order to prevent unnecessary water use, you must follow these regulations:
- Don't knowingly run water to the point of waste (this includes running water to prevent freezing)
- Don't use the water supply to operate hydraulic elevators or motors or water powered appliances (such as air conditioning units)
From time to time, we may need to limit water use for certain activities to help conserve our water supply. This could include:
- Watering your lawn or garden
- Using water to wash your car or vehicle
- Filling pools
