Farm Property Tax Rate program

One of the ways the Government of Ontario supports agriculture is through the Farm Property Tax Rate program. Farm business property owners must register annually with Agricorp to receive a discounted rate. If you own a farm property, early in each calendar year you should receive a package in the mail about registering your farm business with Agricorp to ensure that your agricultural land is included in the farm property tax class, which qualifies for a tax rate that is 25% of the municipal residential tax rate. Visit the Agricorp website for more information.
