Please be advised that half load restrictions have been lifted for both the Township of Edwardsburgh Cardinal and the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville as of today, April 24, 2023. The reduced load limits are necessary in order to preserve the integrity of certain roads during the spring thaw period. The reduced load limit is enforced in order to protect the road base from damage caused by wheel loads of heavy vehicles and to increase the life-cycle of the Township’s roadways. With the restrictions lifted, haulers can now carry full loads in accordance with the Highway Traffic Act.
