The Township of Edwardsburgh Cardinal is excited to announce the proclamation of Ontario Cadets Week, taking place from October 5 to 12, 2024. This annual celebration recognizes the outstanding contributions of youth cadets across the province, with a focus on leadership, physical fitness, and citizenship.

 Through a long-standing partnership with the Army, Air, and Navy Leagues of Ontario and the Canadian Armed Forces, these cadet programs provide unparalleled opportunities for young Canadians to develop essential life skills that prepare them for the future.

Passed into law on April 11, 2022, by the Ontario Lieutenant Governor, Bill 45 officially declared the first Saturday of October as the start of Ontario Cadets Week. Cadets from across Ontario are recognized for their teamwork, leadership, and service contributions, as they strive to be active members of their communities.
Residents of Edwardsburgh Cardinal are encouraged to acknowledge this meaningful celebration, recognizing the invaluable impact of cadet programs on young Ontarians.
