Edwardsburgh Cardinal Proclaims National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on September 30, 2024

The Council of Edwardsburgh Cardinal has officially proclaimed September 30, 2024, as the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, also recognized as Orange Shirt Day. This day will serve as a public commemoration of the tragic history and lasting impact of residential schools in Canada. The township is committed to sharing the stories of survivors, their families, and communities, reinforcing the importance of reconciliation in our nation.
