Summer Doesn’t Have to Be Over Just Because It’s Fall
St. Lawrence Parks Commission Keeps That Summer Feeling Alive with Fall Programming Running to the End of October
Morrisburg, ON – As kids head back to school it may seem like summer is over, but that doesn’t have to mean the end of cultural and recreational experiences or family fun in Eastern Ontario. St. Lawrence Parks Commission (SLPC) properties remain open after Labour Day with modified hours and programming.
Upper Canada Village
- Open for regular programming Wednesday-Sunday, September 7-18 from 9:30-5:00 p.m.
- Walking tours only daily September 12, 13, 19-30 from time on the hour between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
- 1860s Fall Fair Weekend Saturday, September 17 to Sunday, September 18 – included in Village Admission
Fort Henry
- Open daily September 5 – October 9 from 10:00-4:30 p.m.
- Guided tours in English are available 7 days a week with French transcriptions available, French guided tours available on weekends only.
Kingston Pen Tours
- Operating on a Wednesday-Sunday schedule from September 5 – October 31 with tours running between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Crysler Park Marina
- Open daily until Oct 10
Upper Canada Golf Course
- Open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. from September 1 to September 30
- Open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. from October 1 to October 31
Campgrounds
- Most campgrounds remain open until October 10
- Upper Canada Migratory Bird Sanctuary remains open until October 17
- Campground Office Hours beginning September 6, 2022:
- Sunday – Thursday 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
- Friday – Saturday 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Long Sault Parkway
- Open until November
What’s Closed After Labour Day
- All beaches and day-use areas
- Mille Roches Campground
- Woodlands Campground
