Residents and stakeholders can request a delegation to speak at Council and Committee meetings in the Township of Edwardsburgh Cardinal.

Request a delegation

To speak at a Council meeting regarding an agenda item, contact the Clerk's Office by 4:00 p.m. on the day of the meeting.

• Requests are processed on a first-come basis
• A maximum of three delegations are permitted per meeting
• If your request cannot be accommodated, it may be referred to a later Council or Committee meeting.

If you would like to speak about a topic that is not on the agenda, you must contact the Clerk's Office in writing. We will work with you to find you an opportunity at an upcoming Committee of the Whole meeting.

Speaking guidelines

When presenting to Council, you need to follow these guidelines:

• Your remarks must focus on the agenda item
• Presentation are allotted 15 minutes
• Delegations are allotted 10 minutes
• Each delegation is allowed a maximum of two speakers, with a combined speaking time of 10 minutes
